These terms govern your use of Global Data World (https://globaldataworld.com), a service that compares countries for people deciding where to move. By using the site or buying an analysis you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

The interactive globe and each country's basic facts are free. The full analysis of one to three countries — on screen and as a PDF — is a paid digital product. Figures come from official and open sources and from licensed data providers, with the year of each figure stated. The analysis is for information only: it is not legal, tax, immigration, financial or medical advice. Rules and prices change; check them with the competent authorities before you decide.

Your account

You sign in with Google, Facebook or a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure: you are responsible for what is done with your account. One account is for one person.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars before you buy (for example US$24.99 for three countries) and include the taxes that apply. Payment is taken by our payment provider, named at checkout. The analysis is digital content delivered immediately: if you are a consumer in the EU, you will be asked to agree to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you then lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. If an analysis cannot be delivered because of a fault on our side, write to us and we will fix it or refund you.

What you may do with your analysis

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to read, download, print and keep your analyses, and to share them privately with your family or your advisers. You may not sell them, publish them, redistribute them or use them in a commercial product or service.

Prohibited uses: no scraping

The data, texts, maps and design of Global Data World are protected, and some of the data is licensed to us by third parties who forbid its extraction. Unless we have given you prior written permission, you must not:

• use robots, spiders, scrapers, crawlers, headless browsers or any other automated means to access, copy, collect or monitor the site, its pages, its API or its PDFs;
• extract, download in bulk, copy or reuse all or a substantial part of the data or content, or repeatedly extract insubstantial parts, including to build a database, dataset or competing service;
• use the content to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models;
• call our API other than through the website, or bypass, disable or overload its rate limits, access controls or security measures;
• copy, frame or mirror the site, or reverse-engineer it;
• resell, sublicense, republish or otherwise commercially exploit any part of the service.

We may block, limit or suspend access that breaks these rules, and we reserve all rights, including claims for damages under intellectual-property and database law. To license our data, write to [email protected].

Intellectual property

The site, its software, design, maps, texts and the compiled data belong to Global Data World or its licensors. Data from open sources remains under its original licence; nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences when you obtain the data from its original source.

Accuracy and availability

We take great care that every figure is exact and dated, but data can be revised, delayed or incomplete, and we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or that the service will be uninterrupted. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and as mandatory consumer law requires. Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for decisions you take based on the analyses.

Suspension and closing your account

You may stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, especially the prohibited uses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Significant changes will be announced to signed-in users by email before they apply. Analyses already bought keep the terms in force when you bought them.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims before its courts. Otherwise, the courts of the owner's domicile in Spain have jurisdiction.
